I washed my hair on Saturday, I already had all my products picked and packed because I was going to visit family for the weekend. My plans were changed when I received my delivery of hair products from the proudly South African AfroBotanics range, so I decided to use those rather, I was that excited about them.
My hair was in 8 plaits for the about a week and I had been moisturising twice a day with my spritz, when I took out the plaits my hair felt very moisturised on the verge of being too moisturised, so a protein treatment was in order. Here is what I did:
[1] Pre-pooed with coconut oil using heat for 20 minutes
[2] Shampooed using Dark and Lovely 3 in 1 Shampoo. I was due to clarify my hair and I had planned on using ORS Creamy Aloe, but I couldn’t find it in any of the shops in my hometown, so I had to settle for Dark and Lovely instead. It left my hair feeling clean and soft, so I really have no complaints
[3] Tea rinsed using black tea, my hair immediately felt hard after I had poured the tea over it. I massaged my scalp and then wrapped my hair in a t-shirt
[4] I deep conditioned using AfroBotanics Repairing & Strengthening Treatment using heat for 20 minutes (this was the recommended time, and I wanted to use the products as indicated). This product provides tons of slip and my hair felt immediately soft after the hardening of the tea rinse.
[5] Applied my usual leave-ins Beautiful Textures Tangle Taming Leave-In Conditioner and Motions CPR Triple Action Leave-In Conditioner and detangled
[6] I moisturised using AfroBotanics Conditioning Moisturiser, and applied coconut oil. I did my latest favourite and lazy girl do – the roll, tuck and pin to my ends.
[7] The next day, I applied the AfroBotanics Super Hair Growth Creme to my scalp and hair. I had my hair plaited in a beehive pattern. This is how I will be wearing my hair for the next 4 weeks under my wig.

The range is definitely for everyone regardless of how you choose to wear your hair.
