Happy new year everybody, I hope you had a great time resting (if you did manage to get some time off). I had 10 days off which I spent with family and bae. I can’t say I am rested because you know how holidays are, you get to work on all the things that you were putting off the whole year. Nonetheless, it’s a new year and we have to kick things off, firstly with some blog changes.
Firstly, as you can see, I have changed my theme – let me know what you think. Personally, I love it – it’s so clean and uncluttered. Secondly, this year I want to expand my blog further than being a hair blog – I will try add more posts which aren’t hair related, my blog started off as a hair blog but late in 2015 I decided to add other elements which are close to my heart like beauty and travel. I will also add some of my DIY trials – I love making stuff with my hands, sometimes I get it right and sometimes not, but the fun for me is in the journey :). I want to share a bit about my low carb high fat lifestyle (I started at the beginning of December and had to take a break over Christmas because, festive) and my quest to eat more ‘real food’ and less manufactured and processed foods. I might venture into the world of YouTube – however the jury is still out on that one.
As for the hair aspect of the blog, the major changes will be that I won’t be posting weekly wash day posts anymore, instead I will have monthly updates which will include length checks and general hair status. I feel like with my short natural hair, my wash days are pretty much the same and I was starting to sound like a broken record towards the end of last year. All my other hair related posts like: hauls, empties, styling will continue as per normal. Look out for my 2016 hair goals post coming up soon.
