Taking stock 006

Winter is here – well as winter-y as it can get in Durban. I am ready to hibernate, eat soup and live in my onesie for the next few months. But before I do all that, let me take stock of what has been going on in my life lately. I really love doing these posts and I hope that you enjoy reading them.

Cooking more meat free meals unconsciously. I have stopped buying red meat at home, so my meat choices are pretty limited thus I end up making meat free meals most of the time

Drinking still the same ol’ water, cappuccinos and tea

Reading The Good Children by Roopa Farooki – I am loving it thus far

Looking at the pile of unopened magazines on my bedside table that still need to be read

Playing a lot more SA music. I am in my car a lot during the day and since the SABC has instituted the 90% local initiative, most of the music I listen to now is from here

Wishing for a holiday away somewhere tropical, where I can sit on the beach all day and drink cocktails

Enjoying watching Sex and the City the series all over again. I love how the show stays so relevant even after all these years

Waiting anxiously for my online purchases to be delivered. Nothing gives me more joy than receiving a delivery at work

Liking the fact that I am spending so much time in Durban lately, the first few months of the year I spend travelling a lot over weekends. It feels good to be not packing a bag every weekend

Wondering if I am going to survive this TV-less life. I cancelled my DSTV subscription 2 weeks ago. I want to try using my time for other things than watching TV

Loving the new Essence 2-in-1 eyeshadow liners, they are my go to for my eye makeup

Hoping that I can finally get my butt off the couch and start exercising again #summerbodiesaremadeinwinter

Needing to buy myself a proper sturdy tray so I can have breakfast in bed without worrying around making a mess

Smelling my homemade potpourri, it smells divine

Wearing more scarves, I love using them as accessories to jazz up an outfit

Noticing how my blog readers have grown over the few months. Thank you so much for your support

Thinking of whether I should buy the NutriBullet or not. It has been sitting in my online shopping cart since January 2016

Feeling super grateful for this life that I have!

Meat less meals, OMG! I am such a meat eater. What is your protein substitute?

lol! I still eat chicken, fish and ostrich. So I’m not 100% off meat yet 🙂
