I had been wanting to buy this foundation since last year after seeing a few of my favourite Youtubers giving it a lot of love and great reviews. Off I went to Clicks to test it out and buy my shade, only to find that they didn’t have all the testers 🙁 whomp whomp. I always wonder how we are expected to buy foundation if there aren’t any testers available.

So after waiting it out for a few months and the testers did not appear in store, I wrote to the Clicks twitter page and made an enquiry about the testers. After a bit of back and forth with them, they finally gave me a number of testers to try out at home.

I really loved this because sometime testing out foundation in the shop is a bit confusing because they have all the fluorescent lights which are not a reflection of proper daylight. One of the consultants at Clicks reckoned that my shade was Beautiful Bronze, so that was the shade that I started testing and omg! it was such a wrong shade, at least 2 shades darker than my skin…side eye to the consultant

I found that my perfect shade is somewhere between Truly Tropaz and Nutmeg, I can get away with both though if I use the right setting powder. I decided to buy Nutmeg for now, I am still planning to buy Truly Topaz.

I am loving the foundation so far, it is so light and offers good coverage. It also has great staying power throughout the day. I am very happy about my purchase. I’ll be posting up some selfies on my Instagram feed wearing this foundation, be sure to check it out.

I bought the foundation for R275 at Clicks.

Have you used this foundation before?

I’m feeling so much FOMO right now… But from your swatches I fear they won’t have my shade… Will check my nearest clicks. Thanks Lungs

These aren’t the only shades that are available – you can go in store and check for your shade

  2. Nice review. I hate when there are no testers. 🙁 Like Lebo, I’m not sure they will have my shade. I would likely mix some of the colors to get the perfect shade.

Thanks for the review. I will check them out. I normally use my ‘tried & tested’ foundations but I would like to try this one. I hope they will have the right shade for me too.
