Do you know that time when all your toiletries finish at the same time?? Like now I have to sell a kidney so that I can go out and buy more! That’s exactly what happened to me recently, lol. On the real though, I kinda like finishing toiletries, especially face products because it means that I am consistently usin them and getting a bang for my buck. In this post I’m sharing my latest empties and letting you know what I thought of the product and whether I am going to repurchase or nah.
SkinbyNorma Herbal Toner
Since the beginning of 2018 I have changed the way I use toners in my skincare routine – I have adopted the Korean way of using toners which means that I use toners to hydrate and balance the pH of my skin rather than to remove makeup. I found that this toner didn’t give me the hydration as compared to the one from The Body Shop that I am currently using. So for this reason, I won’t be repurchasing it.
The Body Shop Skin Defense Multi Protection Essence
It shouldn’t be news to anyone who reads this blog that sunscreen is a must! everyday! for all skin tones! in any weather! even if you’re going to be indoors! Now that I have the lecture out the way I can tell you about this wonderful sunscreen, it is perfect for black women because it doesn’t leave a white cast on your face, it also protects against both UVA and UVB rays, so you’re covered. I didn’t repurchase this one this time around only just because I wanted to get back to the Eucerin one which I also love.
Neutrogena HydroBoost Water Gel
I’ve heard so many good things about the Hydroboost range and I was keen on trying out some of the moisturisers. What drew me to this particular one was it’s formulation with hyaluronic acid which is known to be a great skin hydrator. I love the way my skin feels after applying this, so much so that I use it as both my day and evening moisturiser. I have repurchased this product
Soil Rosehip Oil
This is the one oil that I use in my evening skincare routine and I love it. Rosehip oil is a dry oil which means it absorbs quickly into the skin so it doesn’t leave you feeling oily. It is packed with Vitamin A and C which are great from helping with hyperpigmentation, slowing skin ageing and improving overall skin tone. I will be repurchasing this oil.
Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – Sensitive Skin and Oily, Acne-Prone Skin
I’ve mentioned it before that when I started using micellar water the way it’s prescribed to be used, I hate it! I found that it was not effective and it was a waste of product and cotton pads. Then I switched it up and started using it to remove my makeup AFTER cleansing my face (because sometimes you don’t manage to get all the makeup off) and I’ve been in love with it since. I bought a travel sized version of the Oily skin one in Thailand and I’ve been using it as well. I haven’t seen any difference between the 2 variants of this product, they work the same for me. I have repurchased the one for sensitive skin.
The Body Shop Camomile Sumptous Cleansing Butter
I am a lover of using balms to remove my makeup after using a makeup remover wipe and before cleansing. I usually alternate between this one and the one fom Clinique. I will be repurchasing for sure.
Pure Beginnings Eco Roll on
I switched over to using natural deodorant in December 2016 and I haven’t looked back. It was my first time using the Pure Beginnings range and I was impressed, I will be repurchasing for sure.
