This past weekend I attended the KZN blogger meet up, this was my third time attending event – I’ve been there since it first launched in 2016 #committed! The reason I attend is that it is always so well organised, informative and fun – I always get to meet new bloggers and learn so much. I can tell you that I have sooo many things on my to-do list based off the talks at the event. If you’re a blogger in KZN, I do urge you to attend it next year, it will be well worth your time and money.
Camilla was the MC and one of the speakers of the day. Her talk had so many gold nuggets even for a blogger like me who has been in the game for a while. She also has just transitioned to working for herself recently, talk about being a boss!
Claudette (R) from BBC Cosmetics gave us information on her hand-made cruelty-free brand. Her range of products include: bath bombs, bath salts, body scrubs and all that good stuff!
Alison Coates is a life coach. Her talk focused on changing your career direction, especially those who have or are planning to be full time bloggers. She also spoke about how to set goals effectively and determining your core life values and living them.
We were treated to lovely sweet treats and delicious coffee from the Antique Cafe
Karen from marketing and PR agency, Goldfish Communications had a very insightful talk about how they work with bloggers and hos they choose bloggers to work on their campaigns. It was eye-opening to be able to hear from someone on the “other side” about the dos and don’t and how as a blogger you can set yourself apart and show your value add to agencies.
Blogger and journalist, Monique spoke about her blogging journey and how she has built her platforms to where they are now.
What is a blogger even without goodie bags? We were treated to lovely goodies from the event sponsors.
This is what I wore to the meetup. The wrap top is from NextDirect, the jeggings are from Woolworths and the shoes are from Exact.
