2018 favourite things

I’m channelling my inner Oprah with this post (she’s my spirit animal) and I’ll be sharing with you my favourite things of 2018. Unlike Oprah though, I won’t be giving these items away to each of my readers because my schmoney is not set up like that…yet. My favourite items come from a range of categories, they are items that I have loved through the year and that I use religiously.

sony portable bluetooth speaker

Sony Bluetooth Portable Speaker
This item was on my to-buy list when I went to Thailand earlier this year and I’m so happy that I managed to get it. I use this speaker whenever I’m playing audio from my phone, I love how it’s splash resistant so I can use it in the shower. The sound on it is pretty good and so is the battery life.

Nescafe Dolce Gusto Piccolo
My love for this gadget knows no bounds! This nifty coffee maker has my heart. I bought it because I found myself buying takeaway cappuccinos on a daily basis at an average cost of R25 – so there was definitely a business case for this machine. I love it because of how easy it is to use and the different variations of coffee that I can make. The best part is making iced cappuccino in the comfort of my kitchen!

cosrx bha blackhead power liquid

COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid
I started using this product in May 2018 and it has made such a difference to the appearance of my pores. I used to have enlarged pores around my nose area and since using this product I can be like: what pores sis? You can even use a 10x magnifying glass and you still won’t be able to see them! I currently use it every other day and I really don’t ever see it leaving my skincare routine.

Colourpop BFF3 Lipliner
Ok, ok, I’ve always raved about the LA girl lipliners being the best in the world, well that’s because I hadn’t used this lipliner yet! She is so buttery smooth, glides on like a dream and is the perfect nude for my lips. I love it so much that I’ve ordered 2 more from Colourpop. This is currently my most reached for lipliner whenever I’m doing my makeup.

Neutrogena HydroBoost WaterGel

Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel
I’ve used this moisturiser throughout this year and my skin loves it! This is the moisturiser that won 2018. I love the finish it gives, how it makes my skin feel after I’ve applies and the price is just right!
