I have a confession: for the longest time I didn’t use separate day and night moisturisers, I just used 1 moisturiser throughout. All this changed towards the end of 2018 when I started using a moisturiser which had SPF and I knew that I didn’t want to use it at night because I didn’t need sun protection after dark. And that is how The Vitamin E Night Cream from The Body Shop came into my life.
What is it?
The Vitamin E Night Cream is a nourishing night cream that is suitable for all skin types.
What they say…
A rich yet easily absorbed night cream protects, replenishes and helps to prevent moisture-loss overnight – when the skin is at its most receptive. Intensely hydrating, leaving it feeling softer and smoother. Now formulated with vitamin E, plumping hyaluronic acid and wheatgerm oil

How I use it
I use this as the last product in my evening skincare routine.
This is the product that may have swayed me to start using separate moisturisers for day and night. It applies so easily and sinks in well into the skin. It leaves my skin feeling nourished and plump. It also has a great fragrance. When I was halfway through the tub I added some Evening Primrose Oil to the product because I was in the middle of a hormonal acne breakout. With or without the EPO the product still performs very well.
The Vitamin E Night Cream costs R220 and is sold at The Body Shop and at selected Clicks stores. There are always 3 for 2 specials at The Body shop so you’re likely to be able to buy it at a reduced price. I think it’s worth every penny.
