Winter has finally (sort of) ended in Durban even though we didn’t have much of a winter (side eyes climate change). In this post I will be sharing my wintertime faves. I love making this list more lifestyle based so it’s not only makeup and skincare, I feel like it gives you guys a bigger glimpse into my life. Check out my other seasonal faves here, here and here.
Russell Hobbs Pressure Cooker
Finding this pressure cooker was such a mission! But it was worth it, I use this baby at least once a week. It has made cooking weekday dinners so much quicker – imagine having beans cooked and ready in 35 minutes! I’ve also made samp, oxtail and stews in it. If you want to know the latest of what’s cooking in my kitchen you can watch my Cook With Me series on my YouTube channel.
Woolworths Cape Lightly Sparkling Wine
I randomly bought this wine when one of the promoters at Woolworths alerted me of a special of 3 for R100. So I just picked 3 that caught my eye, little did I know I was choosing what was to become a firm favourite. The wine has just enough fizz and is slightly sweet – it’s perfect! When not on promotion, it costs R40! I’m sold!
When the colour yellow was invented, the inventor had black girls in mind. They wanted to give us a lifetime gift. Safe to say that the first thing that caught my eye on the jersey was the colour. It’s snuggly, easily layerable and doesn’t make me itch.
*Bioderma Atoderm Baume Ultra-Soothing Balm
This baby has and is continuing to save my skin. I recently got prescribed Accutane for my acne which has resurfaced, if you know anything about this treatment is that it totally dries up the skin. When this product was sent to me I initially set it aside for Mpilo to use because she was getting dry patches on her face. We’re currently sharing it and it’s been so good to my skin. It is rich enough to counter the drying effects of Accutane.
Woolworths grey ankle boots
I have loved these boots! I bought them at the Quality Sale for a steal. They’re very comfortable while being very stylish. I have been wearing them on every cloudy day.
LA Girl BB Cream
I recently rediscovered this BB cream and I’ve been wearing it throughout the winter, it was perfect for my curreny favourite makeup look. Read more about my love for this product here.
