I’ve seen these Taking Stock posts in a number of blogs that I read, and I thought it would be cool to do my own. So let’s do it!
Making : time to write in my gratitude journal daily, even if it means waking up 30 minutes earlier. So far, so good
Cooking Eating : a lot of salads – best thing about summer View Post
Wishing everyone an amazing year ahead! May all your wishes come true!
Merry Christmas to all the readers of my blog! Hope you guys are having a lovely day with your families wherever you are in the world.
We have had the hottest Christmas in my province, in my hometown we had temperatures up to 41 degrees Celsius (I think about 100 degrees F) with a warm breeze accompanying it. We were dying of the heat, but I still had a good day cooking and eating.
Hope you guys are having a blessed day.
I have started an Instagram page for my blog so I can post pictures of all things hair interesting up in there. I actually prefer blogs with more writing than pictures – so I will try keep my blog like that as well.
In the few days I have had my account, I have enjoyed following all the healthy hair accounts out there – and there are a whole lot!
Please follow my account #shamelessplug #thereisnodignifiedwaytoaskforfollowers Please also leave your Instagram handle in the comments so I can follow!
I was nominated by Uzoma from Don’t Touch The Hair – I love the name of her blog! Thank you Uzoma.

I will nominate these bloggers for this award
Here are the 7 things about me
I am so keen on learning new things to the point of being obsessive about it. When I started learning about healthy hair in 2012 – I would spend hours reading articles and blogs about hair stuff, now that I think I know enough to get by, my new obsession is make-up.
I love singing (even though my voice is not the best) – I know the words to almost every single song that I like. In my car I am always singing at the top of my voice, and sometimes dancing – I don’t really care who sees me.
I take a selfie (or 10) every single day, without fail – mostly I do it to document my different daily make-up looks and at the end of the week I make a collage of all the weeks looks.
I am trying not to share a lot about my life on social media (I used to do this a lot before), but on my BBM I am an over sharer because I only have the closest people to me as my contacts.
I love making lists for everything – shopping lists, to-do lists etc – nothing brings me more joy than ticking items off my list. Sometimes if I complete a task that wasn’t on my list, I put it on just so I can tick it off 😀
I am turning 29 in a couple of weeks and for my 29th year – I am busy compiling a list of 30 things I want to do before I turn 30
– it is going be a busy year!
I love watching CNN, its probably the channel I watch most on TV – I lived in a place where there were only 2 channels in English: CNN and MTV, so I learnt to love it then and it has been a firm favourite since.
I have decided to join the 30 days of water challenge
I already do drink a minimum of a litre of water per day during the week – but I always struggle to carry this momentum over to the weekends. I think this challenge will help me to get my weekend water intake on. So for the next 30 days, weekends included – I will drink a minimum of 1 litre of water.
