This time around I have decided to combine my hair products empties and haul from the past few months. This way I can see whether I am making progress in denting my hair product stash. My last empties and last haul posts were both in November 2015; read here for empties and click here for the haul. I am hoping that in this post the empties products will be more than the haul products – that was I would have made progress in the right direction. This time I did it in video format – yipppeeee. Watch the video below.
This is my last wash day post for the year. It was much of the same as my previous ones. I am so here for leaving my hair as it is and not messing with it. I want to let it flourish by itself. Of course while doing the healthy hair care practices like deep conditioning, moisturising and sealing etc. I did about 3 moisture and sealing sessions for my hair the past week and it does not feel dry at all in between, so yay to my M&S products.
This week I decided to leave my hair as it is and let it shine in its shrinkage glory. Just for a bit of trendiness, I went for the Madiba part again. It was more defined this time around because I let my hair dry in the ‘position’ overnight. My wash day was short as usual and I am still trying out my sachet conditioners. Here is how it went down…
My first full week of being natural flew by, my ‘twist out’ from last week lasted me 2 days. On Friday my hair had shrunken back slightly and it wasn’t so stretched, I didn’t mind it though. In terms of dryness, I moisturised and sealed 4 times during the week, I found that my hair did not lose a lot of moisture. This is in contrary to what a lot of people with my type of hair usually say about their hair. I guess I have found the right products for my hair and also Durban humidity is helping me out in that regard. On the weekend, I did my whole moisturising and sealing routine and I decided to embrace shrinkage and wear my hair with a young Madiba part. I liked this look, I plan to perfect it soon.
