When I started my hair journey – I was a crazy product junkie – I bought almost everything that I read about in the blogs, it was real bad. I have managed to curb the habit and focus on the products that my hair loves. I will go through the shampoos and conditioners that I currently have in my stash

Shampoo

20141105_173718I only own 1 shampoo (yay!), its the BodyShop Rainforest shampoo, it is sulphate and paraben free – what I love about it is that even though it’s sulphate free it still has a good amount of foam and I feel like it cleans my hair. I have found that a little goes a long, long way. I bought the current bottle in February and I still have enough for about 3 washes – I wash my hair at least once a week. So I think it is a very good buy, and I will be repurchasing when this one is finished.

Conditioners

20141105_174512I love conditioners! they are like my holy grail for hair, I always deep condition at every wash – this is a non-negotiable for me. Starting from L to R: I have 3 Dabur Vatika Conditioners – this brand is Indian based, I usually see the products at those spice shops. Anyway, I am in love with their conditioners, I currently have the Deep ConditioningIntensive Nourishment and the Black Seed. I have used the Intensive Nourishment (pink lid) for 1.5 years now, it is such a firm favourite – it is my staple, I probably use it twice a month, it is a moisture and protein balanced conditioner (it contains egg and honey). The Deep Conditioning conditioner (purple lid) is a total moisture conditioner so I use it after I use a hard protein treatment, it leaves my hair so soft! The Black Seed conditioner (black lid) is a new one for me, I bought it a few weeks ago and I haven’t used it yet – I will review it after a few uses.

I have the Clicks Moisture Rich Conditioner, I use this when I cowash which is not too often, I have also used it for the odd pre-poo. I have had this conditioner for-ever, I can’t wait till I finish it. The BodyShop Banana Conditioner I use as an instant conditioner to detangle my hair just after I shampoo and before I apply my deep conditioners. I also have the ApHogee Keratin 2 minute reconstructor – this is a hard protein treatment, I don’t use this too often, but when I do use it, it leaves my hair hard-ish and that’s why I usually follow it up with a moisture conditioner just to get that balance in my hair.

That’s what I currently have – I am on a self-imposed ban on buying any more conditioners unless it is a replacement – *hold thumbs that this actually happens*

You are far better than me. 🙂 I have the Vatika conditioner with the purple cover. I didn’t really like it when I used it alone. Now I use it as a pre-poo.
