I finally washed my hair on Sunday evening after 2 weeks of being in the cornrows, during this time, I have been moisturising my hair at least once a day with a water-based spritz, I have also been applying oil on my scalp regularly to do scalp massages. I had been planning on washing after 10 days, but I got lazy and also my hair wasn’t giving me any trouble i.e. my scalp wasn’t itchy, so I decided to skip that and go with the flow.
This wash day was quick and easy, here is what I did:
[1] Went straight into shampooing with Aunt Jackie’s Oh So Clean Moisturising & Softening Shampoo, I massaged it onto my scalp
[2] Tea rinsed by spraying my tea mix (rooibos&chamomile + chai tea), massaged my scalp
[3] Deep conditioned using a mixture of the Dabur Vatika Black Seed Hair Mask Treatment Cream, glycerine, oil mix. I left this on for 1.5 hours without heat (there was loadshedding in my area). Once the power came back, I sat under my heat cap for 20 minutes.
[4] T-shirt dried and them sat under my hooded drier for 45 minutes. I then lightly applied some coconut oil all over my head
[5] Just to make sure that my hair was completely dry, I didn’t wrap in a scarf while I slept, instead I put a clean satin scarf around my pillow and lay my head on that.
[6] In the morning, I was late and had no time, so I didn’t do anything to my hair. I just put on my wig and went out the door. In the evening I applied a teeny amount of my leave-ins: Beautiful Textures Tangle Taming Leave-In Conditioner and Motions CPR Triple Action Leave-In Conditioner
[7] I also applied the AfroBotanics Conditioning Moisturiser
And that was that! I think I will do another wash after 2 weeks.

I kept them on, and this made everything go quickly and smoothly
I will try to add some coconut oil next time I deep condition. My hair does not like too much of it. I am glad your wash day was nice and easy.
I am here for quick and easy! Plus I have been eyeing that shampoo for a while now. But I am trying my very best to tame my product junkie self!! LOL
LOL! I know exactly how you feel.
It’s a great shampoo, I’ve been enjoying using it
