This is one of the product types that I had been looking to add in my stash for a few months. I wanted a creamy product that I could use as a styler when I am doing flat twist and/or braid outs. I searched at Clicks, Dischem etc., and I couldn’t find such a product. Eventually I found this one at a salon (it was a silver lining for me since the visit to the salon didn’t turn out that great). I have been using it for a month now and I am ready to share my thoughts on it.

How to use This product does not have instructions on the packaging
How I used it I use this product as the Cream in my LCB (liquid, cream, butter) method; this is usually on wash day and a for a few days in between wash days. I have also used it when I am doing my twist out.

My thoughts This product is everything! The first thing that captured me about it was the fact that it is specified for coily textures: Type 4 hair; I was already impressed by that. The smell is ah-mazing, it’s a very sweet smell which reminds me of a dessert. The smell does linger on my hair but not too hectic that it becomes a problem. In terms of moisture, it does what it promises – my hair stays super soft for a few days after using this product. I was really amazed at the moisture retention that I got with this product.
Worth the purchase? Oh yes, yes, yes! I am so happy that I found this product, it works amazingly and is definitely worth the price.
Design Essentials products are everything! Thank you for sharing will definitely give it a try sometime
you’re welcome Lebo. Your video review on them piqued my interest towards this brand
I am glad it helped
I will have to get my hands on it.
Nice! Is the consistency thick, is it easy to apply to your hair given the consistency?
Hey Becca, it is quite easy to apply but I found that it can linger a bit on the hair and leave a white cast which disappears after some time.
