unboxing // period subscription box

With all my time spent on the interwebs, I had never come across a period subscription box before. I had heard of beauty, jewellery subscription boxes, but never this. My BFF told me about this period subscription box, it had popped up on her FB feed. It seemed like such a good idea and we made a pact to sign up for one month and see how it goes.

We signed up for the June box and waited patiently for it to arrive. I filmed the unboxing of this subscription box, so you guys get to see my first impressions of it. I was impressed with the offerings, I did feel though that it included a lot of sugar-y items. That is a bit of a personal thing because I am trying to stay away from eating lots of sugar.

I will be resubscribing on the months that my cycle fits the delivery schedule (they deliver either on the 6th or the 20th of the month), I don’t want to get it way before because I will just eat everything and this will defeat the purpose. I was very lucky with this month’s box because my period started on the day that it arrive – talk about perfect timing.

The cost per month is R349 – so it is not a cheap subscription, but it is a nice way to spoil oneself now and again.

Enjoy the video!

Wow! A period subscription. I think its a good thing since some months my periods become so painful that I need something sweety to comfort me.

OMG!!! I’ve thought about starting a luxurious subscrption box for brides to be, had no idea there was something similar out there. Oh well, great minds think alike.

The bride box sounds like a very good idea! I think that there is a need for it in SA. I would definitely sign up for it
