Lip liners are a must item to any make up lover’s kit. They help to define the lips, create an even base for your lipstick and also make the lipstick last a bit longer on your lips. I love defined lips especially around the cupid’s bow area so lip liners pencils are a must whenever I apply lipstick. I have used many different brands of lip pencils that are available in the market, but that point when I discovered the LA Girl lip liners, I knew that I had found the winner.
My favourite thing about these pencils is that they are super affordable, I mean you cannot beat a R19.99 price point; my 2nd favourite is that they come in sooo many different colours, you are bound to find a colour that you like. I find that they are not too creamy, which is a plus for me because I’ve used other super duper creamy lip pencils and I did not like how they felt.
30 September 2016 Update: Unfortunately, this is one of the products that have fallen victim to Dischem’s crazy price increase on LA Girl products. The lip pencils now sell for R45 each! Can you imagine?? The price more than doubled
The lip pencil that gets the most use is Chocolate because I have wearing a lot of nude lip looks lately and this colour blends in very well with my nude lipsticks.
My newest purchases of the LA Girl lip liners are Plum and Deepest Purple, I am yet to give those 2 bad boys a whirl for the deep red and purple lipsticks that I sometimes wear.
Whenever I am at Dischem, I make sure to pass by the LA Girl section to check if there are any new colours and if there are, I do not hesitate to buy.
I highly recommend these LA Girl lip liners, the price and the quality cannot be beat! I have bought the LA Girl lip liners that roll up and aren’t pencils; I did not like those at all! They just did not do it for me, but they definitely got it right with these ones!
