We all know how applying primer is important to prepare the skin for makeup application and also to keeping makeup from slipping and sliding all over the face. The primer which I am using on most days is The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother.
I have been using The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost Instant Smoother as a primer for the past 4 weeks now- I am at a point where I can let you guys know all about it now.
This product is aimed for dull, tired, grumpy skin. It is an instantly smoothing and glow boosting finisher, a perfect base for make-up application. What I like about this primer is that it has dual purpose – it brightens as well as primes. The primer contains Vitamin C as one of the ingredients, vitamin C is known for its skin brightening properties.
Other primers that I have used in the past have tended to be too slippery on the face, and that is not something that I like. This primer does somewhat sink into the skin so it doesn’t make my skin feel too slippery. I even use it on my skin on days when I am not wearing makeup just to give my skin that extra glow.
I bought this from The Body Shop – R230 for 30ml
Great Review friend. Thank you for sharing
You’re welcome Lebo
I always walk past the Bodyshop, never been to that store.
Will need to check that primer out. Is it any good for dryskin?
The BodyShop has amazing products! I’m not sure about dry skin with this primer cos I have normal to oily skin.
Nice review. I vitamin C. I have a serum that wonders. Does it help reduce oiliness?
Thanks Uzo – it doesn’t seem to have oil control qualities
Love everything from the body shop. From cosmetics to pampering products, if I had my way, I’d easily spend all my money in there lol.
Oh yes! Everything in the shop is wonderful 🙂
