I don’t know about you but whenever I hear of the body lotion brand Ingram’s I always associate it with the smell of camphor. The Ingram’s camphor cream has been their #1 selling body lotion for the past 80 years. In 2017 the brand has extended their range of body lotions to add more variants. I was sent a hamper of all the new Ingram’s body lotions to try out and to share my thoughts about this new range.
The range
The new range consists of a female/family and a male body lotion range. I will share my thoughts on the female/family range because those are the products that I used, I passed on the other products to the guys in my life. The female/family range includes the following lotion variants:
- Tissue Oil
- Moisture Plus
- Triple Butter
- Herbal
What they say
“Developed to provide protection, hydration and nourishment for all skin types, these female/family and male ranges of Body Lotions are testament to the brand’s belief that healthy skin is beautiful skin. Ingram’s new Body Lotion formulas contain a moisturising emulsion combined with ingredients such as Glycerine; Creatine; Argan Oil; and nature’s richest moisturisers, Shea and Cocoa Butter. These new lotion ranges carry the credible traditional skincare promise to nurture, protect and maintain healthy skin with added new ingredients for that extra-nourishing feel.”
How I used it
I have been using the Tissue Oil and the Moisture Plus lotions since I received them in mid December 2017. The Tissue Oil lotion I have been using as my all over body moisturiser and the Moisture Plus lotion I keep on my bedside table as a hand moisturiser. I haven’t used the Triple Butter and the Herbal body lotions because I’m not a fan of both smells.
My thoughts
I have really enjoyed using the Ingram’s body lotions, the Tissue Oil body lotion is thick but applies to the skin very well, I found that it also absorbed quickly and didn’t leave my skin feeling sticky – it was the perfect summertime skin moisturiser. I was sent the 300 ml size and it was perfect size for packing for my travels home and on my recent trip to Zambia. On my hands I used the Moisture Plus body lotion, it is thinner in consistency than the Tissue Oil variant but it gave the same level of moisturisation. My favourite variant was definitely the Tissue Oil body lotion.
The body lotions are available in sizes from 50ml to 400ml and are available at Clicks, Dischem and various supermarkets.
