hair product empties

I have to be honest, my hair journey has stagnated since I did my second big chop at the beginning of this year. I just haven’t been motivated. I am in protective styles 70% of the time and this has made it even more easier for me to forget my hair. I know I should be getting my act together, but I am just not inspired! Even though my hair journey is boring right now I have some hair product empties that I want to share with product empties

Dark and Lovely Au Naturale Moisture Replenishing Shampoo
This was such a lovely shampoo to use, even though it contains sulphates I found that it was gentle enough to use regularly and it didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped. I would definitely use this shampoo again.

Tresemme Naturals Conditioner
This was such a beloved conditioner for all naturals and then it was discontinued, boooooo! I managed to buy this bottle from old stock I found at Clicks and I was sooo happy to have found it. This conditioner is magic! It softens the hair and had great slip which makes it ideal for detangling. Unilever have ‘replaced’ the Tresemme Naturals range with the just as good Tresemme Botanique range and the conditioner from that range is just as good as this one.

ElastaQP Mango and Olive Butter Leave-in Conditioner
This was my staple leave-in conditioner for such a long time – I even bought a backup tub, which I eventually gave away at a hair product swap. This leave-in worked very well, it left my hair feeling soft and it has a great smell. I won’t be repurchasing it (even though I did repurchase), I just have other products in my stash that I am using instead of it.

Design Essentials Natural Curl Stretching Cream
A bae! The love of my (hair) life! I loved, loved this product. I used it as the Cream in the LCO method and my hair looooved it! I used it a lot before I big chopped when I was doing a lot more flat twist outs. It left my hair feeling soft and defined my twist outs like no other. I am quite sad that it is finished but I am definitely planning on repurchasing.

Dark and Lovely Amla Legend Replenishing Hair Mask
This is another great deep conditioner for 4c hair, it delivers moisture to the hair and leaves it feeling strong. I did find that the smell was overpowering but luckily it doesn’t linger after washing the product off. I won’t be repurchasing this product though because I have other deep conditioners that I’m using and loving.

Writing this post has made me miss my hair so so much! I can’t wait till I’ve gained some length so I can go back to experimenting.

Have you guys used any of my hair product empties mentioned in this post? What was your experience like?
