This is my newest eyeshadow purchase and it has become a favourite of mine in the short space of time that I’ve had  it. One of the things that stand out are it’s compactness, the diversity of the shades and of course, the fact that it has a mirror. I see this palette as being awesome for travel and I could create so many looks from it without needing to use shades from another palette. 

The Shayla x Colourpop Perception eyeshadow palette retails for $23 from the Colourpop website. I had mine shipped to South Africa using Aramex but it is possible to ship it directly from Colourpop,  they do ship to South Africa. The palette has 16 shades of which 4 are matte and 12 are shimmers (including some duochromes). The palette is overall neutral with pops of colour and this makes it awesome to create a wide variety of looks.

The one thing I’ve appreciated is that Shayla has created a number of looks using her collection on her YouTube channel. She has definitely given us so much inspiration. And because she is a black woman, it’s so easy for me to re-create the exact looks that she creates, yay!
