In the recent years there has been a major rise in beauty YouTubers partnering with makeup brands, it seems like every month there is a new collaboration out. I’ve had a few collabs that have excited me so much so that I decided to take the plunge and buy the products. I have several of those products in my makeup collection but in this post I want to focus on eyeshadows that I’ve bought from YouTubers x makeup brand collabs.

Jaclyn Hill x Morphe

Jaclyn Hill x Morphe paletteThis is the first collab product that I ever bought, I was so excited about its launch. This palette is gorgeous, full stop – I can safely say that it is my favourite palette, The quality of the eye shadows is amazing and there is such a diverse shade range that you can pretty much create any look. I’ve written, reviewed and demo’d this palette here, here and here.

Shayla x Colourpop

Shayla x Colourpop Perception palette
When Shayla announced her collaboration with Colourpop I was excited and when the products in the collection were revealed I knew that the Perception palette was going to be my jam, it also helped that Shayla is a black woman and our skin tones are quite similar so I knew that this palette was going to be perfect for me. What I love most about this palette is that it is a convenient size and it has a mirror, it also travels quite well. When I first saw the shades it reminded me of a smaller version of the Jaclyn Hill palette and it has the same versatility in terms of the looks that you can create.

It’s My Raye Raye x BH Cosmetics

It's my Raye Raye x BH Cosmetics
This is the newest member on the block. The process of buying this palette left a very bitter taste in my mouth – it was so unnecessarily long and expensive, so by the time I got my order I was pretty much over it. I bought this palette specifically because it contains bother eye shadows, powders and highlighters. I must say I haven’t been 100% impressed with it so far, the eye shadows aren’t of a high quality that I’m used to, I wasn’t too impressed with the powders either but the highlighter shades are amazing.I’m planning to take it on my next trip so I can really get to play around with it… but I will be taking the Shayla palette as well as a back up 🙂

What are you fave influencer collab products?
