I think I can safely say that LA Girl cosmetics was the brand that came all the way through for all South African makeup lovers. The brand landed on our shores when social media was picking up and we were becoming easily exposed to international trends. LA Girl landed at Dischem with affordable and on-trend products. Do you remember the scandal when they tried to almost double the price of the concealer? lol!

LA Girl is the brand that features the most in my makeup collection. In this post I will be sharing the products that I own and ones that I have since given away / stopped using from the brand.

Pro Concealer – Fawn
This concealer is bae! I don’t use it often anymore because I have sooo many other newer concealers that I have added to my collection.

Pro BB Cream – Deep
I’ve recently re-discovered my love for this BB cream, it is my go-to for those days when I want minimal skin coverage.

Luminous Glow Skin Illuminator – Sunlit
This glow cream gives the most lovely glow to the skin, I use it under my foundation or BB cream. I apply it to the high points of my face in the areas when I would typically apply my powder highlighter. The shade is perfect for my skintone, I can probably also use the more golden one as well.

Pro Prep HD Moisture Nourishing Face Primer
I recently bought this primer, I’ve used it a few times and so far so good.

Lip liners
The LA Girl lip liners were my all time favourites until I discovered the Colourpop ones. These still work well and come in a wide variety of shades.

Shady Slim Brow Pencil
One of my all time favourite brow pencils. The pencil is super thin, the formulation is perfect and it comes with a spoolie. It is perfection!

Products that I’ve owned and no longer use are the Beauty Brick Eyeshadow (I had both the Nudes and the Smoky shades), the Beauty Brick Blush and various shades of the Matte Lipgloss.
