This past weekend I spent in the KZN Midlands, Midlands Meander to be more exact. We went on a family holiday for my mom’s birthday. The holiday was a mixture of exploring and also relaxing, chatting and laughing with the family. Whenever we are together, laughter is the theme! Here are some snaps of our holiday.
The scenery was wonderful! Winter with a bit of green; this is the entry way to our accommodation
The scenery doesn’t change much in winter in Durban, so I loved seen brown leaves and naked trees.
The evergreens were also well represented
The effect of the drought – dry rivers
The yummiest hot chocolate I had at Granny Mouse
Oooh yes! So much yummy-ness
Here comes the bride…
A visit to the Midlands is not complete without popping in at the Nelson Mandela Capture Site
This sculpture takes my breath away every time I visit this site
Pssstttt, I was vlogging during the holiday. You can check the video out below… It’s so long because I couldn’t bring myself to cut out some bits of it.
You have a beautiful family Lungi. So love the Midlands, it’s such a great place with awesome views.

Wee had a great time Becca. It was warm-ish during the day but got rather chilly in the early afternoon. It really is a beautiful place.
Kzn has many attractions, I must make a turn there.
